EVENT  SCHEDULE

The Barefoot Hawaiian performs a significant number of shows annually that are open to the general public.  Best of all, the majority of these shows are completely FREE or, may require at most, a small admission fee charged by the event's sponsoring organization, for entrance to their event.

If you have not yet witnessed the Barefoot Hawaiian experience, this is your opportunity to do so with no risk and little or no expense.  If you are thinking about hiring the Barefoot Hawaiian for your event, we invite you come out and see us at one of our public shows.  We are certain you will agree that we are #1 in Hawaiian Entertainment.

Saw us last year?  Then you will still want to come out and see us this year.  Remember, the Barefoot Hawaiian completely changes and puts on a new show every year.  The theme and title for the 2026 luau season show is

Hawaiian Luau and Summer Kick-Off Party

Berwyn, Illinois

Doors for this event open 4:30 PM. The Luau starts at 5:30 PM.  The Barefoot Hawaiian will perform a 45-minute show from 5:30 to 6:15 PM consisting of an Emcee, 3 Dancers, and 1 Fire Dancer.

This Event is presented by Fitzgeralds, Babygold, and the Barefoot Hawaiian.  Price is $29.  The following provides additional details and all that is included in the price.

For this performance, the Barefoot Hawaiian is NOT providing 2 live musicians (as they did last year for the Fitzgerald show).  This year's performance will feature an Emcee and recorded music instead of live musicians.

"Tiki Bash"

The Plainfield Park District is hosting its "Tiki Bash" – a Polynesian Pool Party – at the Ottawa Street Pool.  The bash runs from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.  The Barefoot Hawaiian will be providing Polynesian and Island background music through the sound system from 4:00 to 5:00 PM.  Then at 5:00 PM the Barefoot Hawaiian will be performing a 1-hour Polynesian show that will feature an Emcee and 2 dancers  The show finale at 6:00 PM is the exciting fire-knife dance performance.

On Friday, July 3, Wilmette will be holding their Independence Day 250 Celebration - an all-day event that will culminate and conclude into their fantastic Fun and Fireworks Festival from 5:00 to 10:00 PM.

"Enjoy an evening packed with Independence Day Celebration at Gillson Park! We’ll have food vendors, live music, performers and a fireworks show to kick off your 4th a day early. In honor of America’s 250th Anniversary, the Wilmette Park District and presenting sponsor North Shore Community Bank have enhanced the fireworks program to light up your celebration even brighter!

4th of July Celebration
Celebrating America's 250th Anniversary

On Saturday, July 4th, the Village of Lyons will be hosting their 4th of July Celebration starting with their parade at 1:00 PM and ending with their Fireworks and music at 10:00 PM.  In between then will be various entertainment, among them the Barefoot Hawaiian.

Family Campout & Bonfire

This is a real "overnight" campout right on the beach at Gilson Park in Wilmette.  On Saturday, July 11, starting at 5:30 PM, the Wilmette Park District will be holding a Family Campout and Bonfire event right on the beach at their Gillson Park.  The campout runs through the night and ends Sunday morning.

The Wilmette Park District writes:

"Pitch your tent on the beach and get ready to roast marshmallows on a campfire, take a banana boat ride & enjoy a hula dance show at this family-friendly event! In the morning, we’ll have a small breakfast to finish your memorable stay. Park District staff will be available throughout the entire event."

The Barefoot Hawaiian 1-hour and 15 minute show will start at 7:00 PM and will consist of an Emcee and 4 Dancers.

This event is run and sponsored by the Arlington Height Park District

The Barefoot Hawaiian will be providing an hour and 15 minutes of live entertainment at this family-friendly event held at the Heritage Pool at the Arlington Heights Park District's Heritage Park.  The entertainment will start at 12:30 PM with 30-minutes of live music performed by a Barefoot Hawaiian musician.  At 1:00 pm there will be a 45-minute show featuring an Emcee and 3 Dancers. The entertainment will conclude with 30 additional minutes of live music from 1:45 to 2:15 PM.

The Winnetka Park District closes out Summer 2026 by hosting its End of Summer Luau on Wednesday evening, August 19.  So far, as of  this posting (2/2/2026), the Barefoot Hawaiian show is all that is known.  (Last year it also included a Pig Roast and concert.) This will be a family-friendly event.  Details on costs (if any) is yet unknown.
