Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade - Fund-Raising Hula-Palooza

5:00 - 8:00 PM
Palatine, Illinois

To understand what this is about, please take a quick detour to our December 7 entry further down on this web page to learn about our invitation to participate in the 2015 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade, marking the 74th Anniversary of the day that thousands of American military personnel and civilians lost their lives in the attack on Pearl Harbor.

While this invitation stands alone as the greatest honor our humble company has ever received, our acceptance of the invitation and commitment to accomplishing it also stands alone as the most challenging task we have ever faced.  We have committed to sending over 40 performers (the minimum required to have accepted the invitation) over 8,000 miles, for a 4-day stay (the required stay to participate and work with the parade committee in pulling off the task).  Aside from the logistics to complete this mission is also the economic threshold to overcome.

In order to accomplish the later, this is the first of several fund-raising events we will be holding.  Here is what to expect at this one.

Non-Stop Hula Dance Performances Throughout
Craft Sale - Artists, painters, sewers, creators
Bake Sale
$500 Show Raffle

Admission is free

All baked-goods are donated - 100% of all baked-good sales go to the fund-raising endeavor.  All craft sales are a 50/50 split with the crafter and the fund-raising event.  The raffle is to win a Barefoot Hawaiian show worth $500.  Raffle tickets will be sold at the event.  Winner will be announced at end of event.  Winner need not be present at the time of drawing.  If your heart so moves you, you may also make [strictly voluntary] a cause-contribution to our mission.  After the rental fee to the Legion Post is paid, all proceeds go to the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade endeavor.  This will be a fun-filled, family oriented event.

The Event will be held at
American Legion Post #690

122 W. Palatine Road
Palatine, IL 60067

The following is a Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade Fund-Raising Event

Friday, May 8, 2015
Rob Roy Fish Fry

5:00 - 6:00 PM
Prospect Heights, Illinois

Every Friday starting in February and running through November, the 10th Hole Bar & Grille at the Rob Roy Golf Course runs a Friday Night Fish Fry.  For only $10.95 per person you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet which includes made-to-order Corona Battered Cod.  Alternatively, you may instead order ala carte from the 10th Hole Bar and Grille menu.  We have included the menu below for your convenience.  The fish fry opens at 4 PM.

On Friday, May 8, the Barefoot Hawaiian will be putting on a special show from 5 to 6 PM for fish-fry patrons.  For this special event, the fish fry price will be remaining at the normal $10.95 per person price (other menu items also at regular price) because the Barefoot Hawaiian will be performing at the Rob Roy Golf Course in gratis, and in lieu of payment from Rob Roy, patrons will have the [strictly voluntary] opportunity to provide a cause-contribution to the Barefoot Hawaiian Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade mission.  (See our December 7 entry below for further details.)  If, after enjoying the performance, and if your heart so moves you, you will be free to drop in a tip in the mission bucket that will be available.  There will be absolutely no pressure to contribute.  This is strictly an opportunity for those wishing to be a Barefoot Hawaiian partner in it's parade mission to contribute to the cause and also to say thank you for the show.  100% of every penny collected will be used to fund Barefoot Hawaiian's entry into the 2015 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade.

So, come out to the Rob Roy on May 8, fill your tummy with fish and/or other delicious food, and enjoy a Polynesian performance while you do.

Yes, you are reading this correctly ... Honolulu, Hawaii

The Barefoot Hawaiian has been invited to Honolulu, Hawaii to participate in the 2015 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade marking the 74th Anniversary of the day that so many American military personnel and civilians lost their lives in the attack on Pearl Harbor.  This parade is in memorial and in honor to them.

Outside of Hawaii's Polynesian Cultural Center, which has a standing invitation to participate in the parade every year, the Barefoot Hawaiian is the only Hawaiian entertainment company invited to attend.  In our 32 year history since the incorporation of The Barefoot Hawaiian and doing business under that name and it's founder's 42 total years of bringing Hawaii to the Mainland, this invitation stands clear and above all previous requests as the greatest honor this humble company has received.

Here are the final details for this event

A total of 46 Barefoot Hawaiian Performers and Participates will be in the parade
