2024 Parade Theme - Stars, Stripes and Paw-triots
A child running through our Village Green, with no care in the world and trailed by its faithful friend—a dog. Such is the core image of our village’s logo, encapsulating a stream of qualities we all aspire to enjoy while living in Lake Bluff: freedom, loyalty, faithfulness, protection, companionship, friendship. In our 2024 parade theme “Stars Stripes and Paw-triots,” we celebrate the special place these four-legged furry friends hold in our hearts and in our town. Pick up a stick with us at a Doggie Library as we stroll down the sidewalk. Catch a glimpse of the many beautifully decorated “Dogs on the Bluff” public works of art standing sentry on porches and in businesses, all created to celebrate the 125th anniversary of our village’s founding. Most importantly, stop and meet that new furry friend at the end of a leash that greets you on your walk about town. 2. Donate!

3. Advertise in the Parade Book
The parade book is delivered by the Lake Bluff Boy Scouts to every home in Lake Bluff. Residents eagerly await the book to see the pictures from last year’s parade, read articles written by local residents, and get parade day information. https://www.lb4july.org/advertise
4. Volunteer at the Parade
It takes a village to set up (signs, stage, etc.), run (check in, monitor, etc.), and clean up (take down signs, etc.) after the parade. Our volunteers are rewarded with parade t-shirts, and the knowledge that they have helped with a great Lake Bluff tradition. 5. Sponsor the Parade
