After a 5-month relocation from Prospect Heights to Des Plaines, The new Tiki Terrace Restaurant opens tonight with its first music and dance show featuring the Barefoot Hawaiian.

The Ports of Paradise is our show many of you Tiki Terrace patrons of the old location are familiar with, but it is now being performed in a new place on a new fantastic stage with an elaborate lighting system and a state-of-art sound system, giving a familiar show an entirely new and fresh look.

If you have seen our Ports of Paradise show before, you will not have seen it presented like this.  Starting tonight, the Barefoot Hawaiian will be performing this show every Friday night at the NEW Tiki Terrance Restaurant.

Enjoy The Hanalei Show on a new fantastic stage with an elaborate lighting system and a state-of-art sound system.  This is a show like never before seen in the Chicago area.

Tiki Terrace Grand Opening

The Barefoot Hawaiian will be participating in the official Grand Opening of the new Tiki Terrace restaurant at its new location in Des Plaines with a dance performance at 7:00 PM.  In addition, the new Tiki Terrance restaurant, will be officially welcomed to town, with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony by Des Plaines Mayor Tony Arredia, tentatively schedule for 10:30 AM.  Lots of fun and activities all day and evening.

Barefoot Hawaiian 25th Anniversary Celebration and Sale

Twenty-five years ago Gwen Kennedy moved her Hawaiian Entertainment business, which was then in operation for already10 years, to Des Plaines, Illinois, renamed her company "Barefoot Hawaiian," and incorporated the business.  Today, the Barefoot Hawaiian remains still at the same address.

On July 25, the Barefoot Hawaiian celebrates it's 25th anniversary and everyone is invited.  Complimentary Ono Cake in the shape of an Aloha Shirt baked by the Tiki Terrace along with fresh-brewed Hawaiian Kona coffee will be served.

During the week of December 7, 2008, the Cornille Family, a blessed part of the Barefoot Hawaiian Halau, lost their home and all their possessions due to fire.  This benefit is intended to help them move toward recovery.  This event is open to the public and anyone wishing to help the family by their attendance.
