DANCE CLASSES

Dance classes are held at various times throughout the year according to a schedule based on demand. If you are a prospective new or returning student interested in learning the art of Hawaiian dance, take advantage of this opportunity to register for classes during their open enrollment periods. 

New classes may be offered throughout the year; so, if you do not see a class currently opened to you, please check back.  You may also write or call the Barefoot Hawaiian office.  Tell us what classes you are interested in taking, and we'll put you on a list to be contacted and sent a flier of a class that matches your request once we have opened enrollment for that class.

We are offering a Huga class for the summer

All other regular classes are in Summer Hiatus and will return in September for our fall session

HúGáSM   Summer 2026 - 1 Night Session - An Adult Wellness Class

Registration is now open for this class

1 Night Session on Monday,  August 10, 2026, 7:00 - 8:00 PM 

This Barefoot Hawaiian exclusive adult wellness class which combines Hula and Yoga will have you discover the Harmony, Unity, and Gratitude of Aloha (HúGá) that lies within you.  Experience the piece and joy that awaits you and connect with your inner self. This class is available to men and women, ages 16 and up. Participants should dress comfortably and bring a towel and a mat (or other suitable floor covering or padding on which to sit and lie on).  This is a gentle exercise class. 
Date & Time is: Monday, June 8 - 7:00 to 8:00 PM
Tuition is $25.00

Barefoot Hawaiian Dance Classes are held in the Northwestern suburbs of Chicago in Des Plaines, Illinois

20 minutes from O'Hare International Airport, and 10 minutes off I-294.  Plenty of free parking.
