DANCE CLASSES

Dance classes are held at various times throughout the year according to a schedule based on demand. If you are a prospective new or returning student interested in learning the art of Hawaiian dance, take advantage of this opportunity to register for classes during their open enrollment periods. 

New classes may be offered throughout the year; so, if you do not see a class currently opened to you, please check back.  You may also write or call the Barefoot Hawaiian office.  Tell us what classes you are interested in taking, and we'll put you on a list to be contacted and sent a flier of a class that matches your request once we have opened enrollment for that class.

Summer 2024 Class Offerings

Adult "Vintage" Summer Hula -  6 Week Class

Enrollment for this Class is Now Open - Hurry! Class is filling up.

6 Week Class on Thursdays starting July 25, 2024

This class is for adults 16 and up who want to learn "Vintage" Hula.
This class is a step back in time.  Learn Hula the way it done back in the 1950's and 1960's when Hula first arrived to Chicago and the Midwest and on-lookers were drawn to it as something they have never seen before.  It will be taught to the music of that era as well.  This will be a totally unique and rare experience never before offered and may not be again.
No previous dance experience needed (Hula or otherwise).  Learn Vintage Hula in just 6 weeks!
A total of 6 classes running on consecutive Thursday Evenings, 7:00 - 8:00 PM starting July 25.
Dates are: July 25, August 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29.
Tuition is $130.00 for the complete 6-week course..
This is an open class, all adults welcome to register, no previous experience needed

Barefoot Hawaiian Dance Classes are held in the Northwestern suburbs of Chicago in Des Plaines, Illinois

20 minutes from O'Hare International Airport, and 10 minutes off I-294.  Plenty of free parking.
