The Barefoot Hawaiian Streaming Video Center proudly supports nearly every
PC-Windows based and Apple Macintosh system currently in operation, including
most legacy systems. Our video center also accepts most mainstream browsers with integrated support and will stream
video efficiently even through dial-up connections. The quality of the
video that you can receive depends upon your system and Internet connection. Make your
configuration selection below:
Set or Change Your Video Capability Preference Here
Use the following guide in making your selection. Note that
choosing too high a setting for your system will result in poor performance or
improper video. Choosing a setting lower than your system can handle
will simply result in receiving a lesser quality video.
- High Quality
You may select this video preference if you have a fast computer and are on
a premium-level broadband Internet connection. This preference
provides that highest quality video and audio in a large viewing
window. Video is rendered at broadcast-television quality with
extremely smooth motion video. Detail and motion is rendered best at
this setting.
- Medium Quality
This setting is designed for visitors on a basic or economy broadband
internet connection. It provides high-quality video and audio in a
large viewing window but at a lower frame rate. Detail is rendered
well, but high-speed motion will not be as smooth as the High Quality
setting. This setting is also for use on slighter older or slower
computers.
- Small Video
This setting is designed entirely to accommodate our web site visitors on
dial-up Internet connections. Video is presented in a smaller window,
at a low frame rate, and with lower quality audio. The data stream is
also highly-compressed in order to provide video to our visitor over dial-up
connection speeds. Understand that video normally requires large
amounts of data and we provide this setting in order to accommodate our
dial-up users, and that both video and audio quality will be reduced in
order to serve you. This setting is also recommended for users on
older or legacy computers (even if you have a broadband connection) that do
not play the higher quality video well. Dial-up users, please note that
it is normal for it to take 20 seconds or longer for the video stream buffer
to fill before it can start playing the video. On long videos (e.g., 5
minute videos) it can take up to 1-2 minutes for the stream to buffer.
- Remember My Setting
When you check this box, we will remember your preference setting even after
you leave this web site. Hence, on your next visit to this web site
and page, you will be able to immediately start viewing video without having
re-specify your preference. If you do not select this box, then you
will have to specify your preference upon each visit to this page.
If you are having trouble receiving video and you are certain that you have
made the correct selection, then proceed to the page to help SOLVE the
problem, or to the SYSTEM page to make sure your system and it's
configuration meets the requirement to play video.
